Johnny Blueeyes is an artist, creative director, costume designer, and award-winning stylist based In LONDON.
Johnny designs costume for both short and feature films which include Lana Del Rey’s Tropico (2013), Amateur Night (2016) (Jason Biggs, Janet Montgomery, Bria Murphy), and Eve (Release Date 2019).
He is regarded for his work with world-renowned musicians and performers including Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Charlotte OC, Dua Lipa, Scissor Sisters, Lisa Stansfield, John Newman, Lion Babe, Beth Ditto (Gossip), Ana Matronic, Kristina Train, Ariana & the Rose, Alani, and Alma.
Johnny’s work centres around a synergistic relationship with his artists and directors, working closely to create unique, individual and inspiring looks for photo shoots, music videos, tour wardrobe, brand campaigns, and film. His styling is an amalgam of his in-house archive, pieces sourced from contemporary fashion labels, and fully bespoke costume creation.
His work has appeared internationally in publications such as British, American and Italian Vogue, W Magazine, Dazed, Interview, i-D, L’Officiel, and Rolling Stone among others.
He is the curator of an exceptional and vast collection of vintage and bespoke fashion, which he began collecting in London in the mid-80’s. The items have been sourced from around the world and the archive holds one-of-a-kind pieces from the 1960’s to the present day.
